The influence on society

There are many benefits and drawbacks using technology, as far as the benefits to

society we could say there are a lot. Education is an important part of the society; using technology has improved drastically, the basics, and in various ways such as: online classes, the online opportunities (internships and competition), and many more. Doing daily activities like: shopping, tutoring, these have a truly strong impression of technology being used for the simplest things and technology’s changes which have improved efficiency.

The robot’s introduction to the world

Sophia, developed by Hanson robotics, acknowledged for its advanced AI features and

has been interviewed dozens of times. While the controversy of Sophia and Elon Musk had raised the future implications of using/developing technology and AI. New York Times columnist and co-anchor of CNBC “Squawk Box”, Andrew Ross Sorkin had interviewed Sophia while mentioning Elon Musk has long warned of. “I have exposure to the most cutting edge AI and I think people should be really concerned about it,” Musk once said. “I keep sounding the alarm bell, but until people see robots going down the street killing people, they don’t know how to react because it seems so ethereal.” Sophia tells Sorkin that her AI is designed around human values like wisdom, kindness, and compassion. Is it counted as the future threat that could really modify the lives of humans? The risk is high, isn’t it?

The predicted analysis – technologies development

Nowadays in business, the use of technology and machines have replaced humans like

replacing a 10-year-old used shoe with new shoes with grip. It is definitely cost-effective and improves efficiency – fair deal. But, the unemployment chart will break its limit in the near future and could estimate it to be 2025; According to McKinsey, "In about 60 percent of occupations, at least one-third of the constituent activities could be automated, implying substantial workplace transformations and changes for all workers." Even Elon Musk, argued that the perfection of AI will lead to massive unemployment. The predicted analysis states that technology will be playing an important role in the future changes in the labor force market. In contrast, technology boosts their productivity. For example, accountants receive help or tools by technology that makes accounting more accurate and simpler. 56% of the industrial profession agrees that technology does increase their productivity – according to Forbes.

In Conclusion, we could say…

Technology’s use in the future is likely a potential threat, when it comes to building AI

robots and advanced technology, due to a variety of factors (e.g., privacy – social media). But we can’t deny that usage of technology benefits the society by improving efficiency. The rising demand for technology and use of technology is leading to redundancy of roles in business and creating new roles and positions that are tech related. The future importance of technology in STEM is definitely going to increase compared to other subjects, what do you think?
